We invite all naturopathic and Western herbal medicine stakeholders, qualified practitioners, and industry partners to review and provide feedback on the 2026 Code of Conduct (COC).
Your voice is vital in ensuring our professional standards remain rigorous, contemporary, and reflective of modern practice across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
The updated 2026 Code of Conduct is the product of extensive collaboration across the trans-Tasman naturopathic professions. Throughout 2025, key professional bodies and educational institutions met regularly to shape a unified Code of Conduct framework for our profession.
Those that met regularly throughout 2025 were: Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA), Complementary Medicine Association (CMA), Naturopaths & Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA), and Naturopaths & Medical Herbalists of New Zealand (NMHNZ), as well as education institutions Endeavour College of Natural Health (ECNH), Southern Cross University (SCU), South Pacific College of Natural Medicine (SPCNM), and Torrens University Australia (TUA), along side ARONAH.

Above is the Code of Conduct document. We welcome all feedback and have sent specific invitations out across the naturopathic sector in Australia and New Zealand. This invitation is open to all suitably qualified naturopaths, educators, and industry stakeholders.
Submissions will be reviewed by the ARONAH board, and modifications will be incorporated as appropriate into the finalized versions of the documents. Submissions may be published on the ARONAH website unless expressly stated otherwise by the submitting party. A document review board summary report outlining the changes made to each document and the justification for those changes will also be published on the website.
Key dates for this review are indicated below. While ARONAH will make every effort to maintain this schedule, it reserves the right to vary these dates as deemed necessary.
