Over the past two years ARONAH has been working with all associations and education institutions on updating the Naturopathic Education Standards which are due for review this year. Throughout this extensive process, our goal has been to establish robust, independent standards that truly reflect the depth and evolving needs of our profession.
This is the final draft of the Naturopathic Course Accreditation Standards and accompanying it, are two other explanatory documents.
First is a comprehensive mapping document which outlines how the initial feedback from industry stakeholders has been directly incorporated into this updated version. This highlights our commitment to listening to the profession and building a unified, high-standard framework that serves us all.
Second, ss part of the feedback process, rigorous benchmarking was also carried out to establish evidence-based, robust, and safe educational standards for Australian and New Zealand naturopathic programs.
We conducted a structured benchmarking process across three critical areas:
- Clinical Program and Practicum Hours
- Online Learning and Class Size Caps
- Telehealth Requirements
These documents are linked below:
- Naturopathic Course Accreditation Standards – seeking feedback.
- Mapping Document to accompany the Accreditation Standards
- Benchmarking document to accompany the Accreditation Standards
Naturopathic professional associations: ANPA, ANTA, ATMS, CMA, NHAA, and NMHNZ, alongside education institutions ECNH, SCU, SPCNM, and TUA both in Australia and New Zealand have directly shaped the updated 2026 Naturopathic Course Accreditation Standards over regular meetings during 2025.
We invite all naturopathic stakeholders in Australia and New Zealand along side any suitably qualified naturopaths to provide feedback on the Naturopathic Course Accreditation Standards by COB Friday 11th September.
We thank you for your commitment to improved standards for the naturopathic profession.
