Below you will find 4 templates that you may find suitable to email to your local MP. We recommend contacting both state and federal MPs. It may also be worth contacting any candidates who are running in up and coming elections. There is also a list of State and Federal Health Ministers below.
We encourage you to personalise your email, and you can ask your patients to send emails as well. If they are happy to share stories on how important naturopathy is to them, all of these things can make a difference to an MP paying attention.
It is important to always be respectful with your communication with an MP. The proper way to address an email to them is Dear Honorable Member (insert name).
Please let us know via email or social media if you have reached out to your local member. We would love to keep track of how far and wide the message is traveling.
TEMPLATE 1 — General Support for Statutory Registration (Balanced, suitable for most MPs)
TEMPLATE 2 — Public Safety & Consumer Protection Focus (Effective for health‑portfolio MPs)
TEMPLATE 3 — Integration & Health System Alignment (Good for MPs interested in system reform and integration)
TEMPLATE 4 — Short Version (for busy MPs or follow‑ups)

List of Health ministers (as of Wednesday 10th March 2026)
Although ALL emails to local members (state and federal) are valuable to the lobbying campaign, you may find you, or friends and family reside in a Health minister’s electorate. If that is the case, it is extra important to contact them as a resident of their constituency.
